John Thomas Salon Bed and Breakfast in West Monroe, LA is wonderful! John puts his heart and soul in to this business. You can’t get this kind of amenities and experience at a hotel. Clean and accommodating. I highly recommend staying here!

John Thomas has created a paradise getaway in this historic cottage, just steps away from what has become a shopper’s paradise in Louisiana, Antique Alley, in downtown West Monroe. Each room in the bed and breakfast is decorated beautifully and every guest detail is well anticipated. John is the perfect host and will happily guide you around the area. Can’t recommend highly enough - one of the best b & b’s in the south!

John Thomas salon bed and breakfast in West Monroe Louisiana, I have known John for many years and he is very meticulous. His trait clearly shows in his property. From the elaborate landscape to the detail decor. He welcomes you with open arms and makes you feel at home. A must place to visit and stay.

John Thomas Bed and Breakfast is always my choice when I'm in the Monroe/West Monroe, LA area. The rooms are beautifully decorated and clean. The grounds are always kept. John Thomas the Inn Keeper, is amazing. He has put so much work into the property. He is so talented. And so hospitable. You won't find any better place to stay in the area. It is close to the Antique Alley on Trenton Street and centrally located to many restaurants. It is always a pleasure to stay at John Thomas Bed and Breakfast.

The home was extremely luxurious & yet quite cozy & home like. It was full of beautiful features such as art & paintings which told the story of a rich & historic past & yet had a very modern timeless feel to it. The rooms were spacious & completed with large comfortable beds, & fully stocked mini fridge & personal thermostat that appealed to the individual person staying. The bathrooms were spacious & beautiful. The entire establishment was extremely well maintained & seemingly everything you could want from a B&B had been thought of. The host (John )was very hospitable & knowledgeable of the surrounding area, making it very easy when deciding what to do for food & activities when not at the B&B. This will most certainly be our go to place to stay in the future & highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a 1st class overnight or multiple days stay at a more than fair rate.

Small B & B situated close to Antique Alley. We had the carriage house room and it was beautiful. Decorated and stocked with consideration and detail. Comfortable bed and tiny bathroom and shower but very well done. We enjoyed relaxing in the room when we were not out on the town and the garden sitting area is home to a ton of little birds that were fun to watch from the window. We did not do the breakfast as we had not planned far enough ahead. John Thomas was friendly and communicative but he nailed it and we didn't have to contact him for anything. Wonderfully relaxing and will stay here again in the future when we are in town.

John Thomas is a great host and made us feel so welcome upon arrival. He was helpful in communicating with us prior to arrival as well. The room and space is WONDERFUL. We loved it! It felt like a fun home away from home. We would 100% recommend staying here and plan to return! Very close to dining locations and the interstate which was a huge plus for us.

My husband and I were in town for a pharmacy school interview and stayed one night. Upon arrival, the wonderful host, John, met us in the driveway and escorted us to our room. The room was sparkling clean and so charmingly decorated down to every gorgeous detail. We instantly felt at home in the peaceful space. There is an impressive shelf of complimentary extras in the room just in case you forgot to pack any items. There is also Netflix, a selection of snacks/sweets, coffee maker and a fridge stocked with beverages all included with the room. We wanted for nothing. The bed was very comfortable and the surroundings quiet. I usually have trouble sleeping in traditional hotels or anywhere away from home, but I slept like a baby here. My husband appreciated the good night’s rest also having such an early and important morning, something he never would have gotten in a typical hotel with doors slamming and loud talking at all hours that usually occurs. There was a train running on tracks quite near to the house when we arrived, something I was concerned about, but we never once heard any train noise from inside our room.We absolutely plan to stay with John again when we return to shop for housing in the area. John Thomas Bed and Breakfast is a must!
